I don't mind one bit as long as they are not obnoxious. It's their ride and they can do whatever they want within reason. Normal rules of etiquette do apply IMO. Talk at a reasonable level. Don't scream in the driver's ear. Don't be rude. Other than that, do whatever you want.
Super smelly? Sure, kick them out. Super smelly and possibly mentally challenged? That's tougher. I don't think I could have kicked him out with a good conscience. I would be pissed about the smell but what can you do. Driving uber is like russian roulette sometimes.
Me, I would have called the police. For sure. I know other drivers who would just drive away and leave them. Which in my opinion would be wrong, but everyone's just out there trying to make a living so I can understand not wanting to get involved.
Yah I would nope the f out of there if I was the pax.
I mean, I think it's already illegal to sell someone else's trademark. But these sellers just pop up all over the place. Try stopping them.
Don't spend it all in one place 😁
Condom...
...
...No, not used, you sicko.
Uber is crazy if they think people are going to put these bonuses into their stock.
I don't know but can we sue them if we get in an accident as a result?? Like, seriously, they can do better.
The waterless sprays don't work well for me and like you said you have to stand outside, forget about that. Just go to a normal car wash. I don't have problems with the doors freezing shut. The brushes take most of the water off so it doesn't happen.
Ok I hate to be that guy, but is "short black hair" code for "black" these days? Or is it a white italian guy. Or an asian dude. I mean, are they just afraid to mention race? I mean, you KNOW these drivers know what race he was, and had to of told the cops. It's kind of a huge detail to leave out if they really want people to help identifying this guy.
It seems like not a great idea to me. Electric vehicles are way more expensive to buy. Not having to buy gas saves money for sure but I doubt it makes up for the upfront cost. I guess you could do some calculation to figure that out.
And then there is the range problem... Personally I wouldn't want to deal with that. I guess if you are driving part time it might not be a huge issue though.
Umm. Northeast checking in here. These will not work, not in the winter. Autonomous cars maybe have a distant shot of working in the winter, but trying to get one of these dinky scooters through slush puddles and around snow banks, automatically? Not gonna happen. I'm surprised even human operated ones work in the winter.
One of the great mysteries... They're not paying for gas, or mileage, or maintenance on vehicles. They take a healthy cut of every ride... where does it go?
So don't buy the IPO then? It's ok, I wasn't going to anyways 😁
Daammn. What a couple of cowards. Punching from behind. Can't wait to hear the news that they were caught.
People being "nice", for instance letting me or someone else in when they have the right of way. It is an act of kindness that makes things worse and encourages accidents. Driving should be done by the rules, so everyone knows exactly what to expect and when to expect it. When someone deviates from the rules, suddenly the situation is in uncharted territory and the other drivers around don't know for sure what to expect.
Driving is not the place to show how nice you are (or how mean you are either)... just drive properly.
It's a dominance thing. They don't use the signal because it shows weakness, in their weak minds.
Sit in the back. Front seat is where I have all my crap. I mean, I'll clear it when I've got a full car load but I prefer single riders just sit in the back.
It has been slow but like you said it's normal for January. Other than that it doesn't seem slower than normal for me. The shutdown sucks but it's only 800k people out of like 150 million workers. Keep driving. Then again I'm not really part time so maybe I am not the target audience of that article.
