Uber Driver App not working... I think... it is getting really bad - anyone else???

HI,

    My Uber driver app has been horribly messing up.   FIrst I thought it was my phone, so I had it replaced... It messed up, so I tried a newer phone... It messed up.   Sometimes the Uber Driver App fails to start the trip until it is half way over, then they rip me off on the fare.  Or the app stops tracking the ride in the middle of the trip... and I cannot find my way and there are mileage discrepancies...   This is such a hassle.  I have had more trips messed up than good this last week.   A few other drivers have experienced the same thing on both Android and apple.     When I used Waze or Google maps to navigate, at the end of the ride it would show Uber stopped working half way in.  (So the GPS still worked.)  Now, using the app for navigation, the app seems to take down my phones LTE capabilities... no internet, no texting, no Facebook...  It also will show close to no bars, while my other phone will have many.    Also, I found out I was sitting waiting for rides without actually being shown in the Buber Rider App.    I do not want to be paranoid, and I used to go to bed looking forward to getting up for work at 4am... but now the stress is killing me... literally.   And here is the worst part... I have to confess to the rider that the app is not working.  I show them my phone so they can see for themselves... and I hope they see I am being honest... and I hope they do not get turned off to Uber.   I have cut back my hours as a result and may do more  Lyft for a while.   After hours and hours on the phone with techs for the phone company and also argu…

I have to ask....     Can I get some people to comment here if this is happening to them?  Were you able to fix it?     There are variables:  Carrier: Phone: OS: App:      (mine are ATT: android 7 and Android 8, latest Uber Driver.)    Seriously, I cannot afford to try and get a $1000 phone!
I will do what it takes to fix this, but I need a way to go about it.   ( I have reset the phones, reset the connections, flushed the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app... Just thinking about it is raising my BP.)

    Could this possibly be a carrier problem, AT&T in particular???  Have you discussed the issues with friends from that perspective?  I'm just wildly curious.  I'm using an older 6S Plus Iphone on Verizon and honestly I can't remember the last time I noticed any issues.  (I use Uber maps fwiw)...  I've had perhaps 5 issues within 2K + rides.

    I’m not a driver so I don’t have the partner app but I have noticed my driver make the same excuse multiple times. No, I’m not a jerk so I did believe them and I just went with it. Glad (?) to hear it’s a legit problem

    In all seriousness? My passenger app has never worked on my iPhone 6S. I would request a ride, and it spins and spins. Then eventually goes back to the original screen with just the map.  

    The real confusing part? The request has gone out and a drive does show up. So everything is working except for...well the rest of it all. 

    So I never see anyone accepts a ride. I’ve never seen that action or a message if there is one. If I kill the app and reopen the app, I can see the driver approaching and who he or she is. 

    I always thought of asking someone but I figured it isn’t worth my time.

      I have the same exact problem. I have to kill and start to realize that I have bee matched up with a driver. It's super weird.  the circle spins and spins.

    I'm an Uber driver and I cannot use the cashier app I haven't been able to I'm still waiting 4 days for my money I was down Philadelphia 7 hours on the road didn't have much money to begin with got to Philly and didn't have much gas to get back didn't have any gasket back really couldn't get my money out couldn't get ahold of anybody I could have got raped I could have got beat it was it was horrible and I didn't nobody I didn't know anybody I couldn't get a transfer and some nice gentleman seen help said I was and he actually gave me money for gas to get home and here it is Monday morning and still no pay now my whole dashboard is clean started for the next next week and I have no money in any of my accounts I don't know what's going on with them but I can't continue to do this especially if you're driving people around you need that gas money to get them where they got to go and I can't do that but I hope they get this s*** straightened out

    I've been having troubles with my Uber actually my cash out part won't work it hasn't worked I made a long trip down to Philadelphia from up here in Schuylkill county seven trips on the road 7 hours on the road and some guy down there seeing how upset I was because I couldn't cash my money out and I had to get money off some guy down there to make it home and it's been 4 days and still no money I don't know what's going on everything's cleared now and still no money so you're not the only one having issues

    Yeah, my driver app doesn't work.  It keeps telling me I make waaaay less than what Uber promised me, surge function no longer works, and somehow Uber's take-home is whopping 50~70% lower than what they promised be at 25~%.
