Would Uber/Lyft drivers take me to a drive-in theater if I asked? What would it take for you to stay through the movie?

The creativity and the neediness of Uber riders have no limits. LOL.

How do you come up with this stuff?

If the movie was good and the riders were not annoying I would do it. Lets say we would be there for 3 hrs. I would probably charge you $20/$25 per hour (approx what I would make driving.  Would also depend if you are nice & if I had a good time:) I would also need an Icetea and a fruit salad:)  For 3 hrs Uber would pay me $20/$27 so not worth it.  Would have to go with cash. I have a great vehicle for drive in movie also:) I would even go to the snack bar for you to get your snacks during the movie:) Let me know when you are ready to go. Lol

I never thought of ever doing this, but yeah, this would be a lot of fun. A part of he fun, perhaps, is meeting someone crazy enough to ask a driver to do this.  It feels so adventurous.

Too bad, I don't know of any drive-in theaters, and Uber doesn't offer this option. Ha!

Already irritates me when I take someone to Walmart and they ask me to wait. Even “in and out” takes at least 15 minutes.

But if I did? $20/hr and all the Twizzlers I can eat. Discount rate since the car won’t be moving.

Yeah for a decent hourly rate I'll wait all day if I have to.

There is one in Vineland NJ that I know of. There are quite a few in PA that I know of (over 10). The ine we went to had a BBQ (big grill) on site. You could order full platters. Take some chairs or spread a blanket out and sit outside or sit in your car. The back of my SUV all seats lay flat. Open the hatch park backwards put seats down throw down a blanket & few pillows comfortable and perfect view. My parents used to take us on Friday nights as we had one up the street. Pj's on snacks and off we went.  As teenagers it was $5.00 per carload. We would pack everyone in even in the trunk. Great memories. Also 15 min from home was the Lincoln XXX movies. As kids we woukd alwats try to catch a peek as we drove by. Lol  Their was a Hotel next door that certain rooms could see the screen. Then there was another hotel across the street 4 hrs $17.00. You could watch the movie and then go grab a room. All it cost you was $22.00 for movie & a room. Lol

I took my kids to their first one about 7 yrs ago while we were on vacation. They loved it. Unfortunately about 3 hrs after the drive in I ended up being take by ambulance to the nearest hospital. Oh what fun that was. Me admitted to the hospital with 4 kids stuck in a hotel room. I begged doc to let me go but he sat sat by my bedside begging me not to sign out AMA. So I thought if a doc was nice enough to take the time to sit at my bedside begging me to stay it was probably a good idea not to sign myself out. Thankfully my kids were not real young (16, 12, 8, & 7). There was a McDonalds within walking distance. Got my ex to come up the next day to pick them up as we were 2.5 hrs from home. The best was when my next support payment was due from him he subtracted 75.00 from it for gas and tolls:) So nice of him to charge me to come pick up his kids who were living in a hotel room for 36hrs with no adult and nothing but McDonalds food:)

HAHAHA.  Some stars have to align for me to do this.

    - I better like the movie

    - Free snacks. At least if you offer, then I know you are a good guy (or girl).

    - I get to keep the meter running. Uber pays peanuts, but that's one way to get me paid officially.

    - No talking! Let me enjoy the movie.

Uber pays so little for the time waiting, that I would never take this deal. I want to be paid a living wage, like $15 to $20.

Wait, Uber charges like $0.30~ a minute, so that translates to $18~20? (minus their commissions)  OK, I will do it. I am in!
