While driving for Uber or Lyft has its perks it can also lead to troublesome situations. Many drivers, to avoid being wrongly accused or to secure evidence of wrongdoings, have decided to install dash cam video and audio recorders in their cars. Uber is raising Prices (On Jump E-Bikes & Dockless Scooters)

I have recently written about Scooternomics, how scooters are littering the streets and although most have become Unicorns (worth more than a billion in valuation), they are still losing money at an alarming pace. To the point that Bird had to raise another 300 million dollars a couple of weeks ago albeit at a $2.3 billion valuation. Maybe Uber has learned that they don't have to price a service in demand cheaper in order to make it more attractive, maybe they decided to go for profits instead of following their rideshare playbook.

Tough Rideshare Regulations in NYC and British Columbia leave Lyft Complaining - Will Uber Follow Suit?

Lyft is retaliating in NY after the TLC (Taxi Limousine Commission) extended the cap on rideshare drivers and instituted a minimum wage rule. And after five years of operation in Canada, British Columbia has yet to allow the global giants of the rideshare industry to roll in. However, that may be changing as of September of 2019. BC Passenger Transportation Safety Board (an independent tribunal) will start processing company applications by September 3, 2019.
