Thanks. Do Raids work as pepper spray? The pepper sprays (and also tassers) are illegal where I live, so that might be a good alternative. You might be joking, but hey, it may do the trick.
Isn't this pointless as a deterrent if the driver doesn't know how it works? and that you are using it?
It's well possible you tracked it in from the bar you just left.
How do you know taht it wasn't your poop that fell off of your shoes?
This is only your side of the story. I mean, how would the driver not have noticed before you got one? It was right underneath his own seat.
Mind blown. I had no idea. I always thought these guys were female drivers for female riders.
Can I leave a safety tip I learned? Never sit in the front seat of the car even if the driver asks. He can drive up to a wall so the door cannot be opened from your side, and you would completely be trapped. :(
I have a dog and I go through this often. What can I say, I am a polite person. I always message my UberX driver if it's ok to bring my dog and I assure that he is in the carrier and is super quiet. So far, no one has ever denied my request and didn't mind the dog, BUT I will admit that 2~3 times out of 10, they never message me, just show up, and I have to ask in person. Yes, this makes me nervous if I will be denied at that point, but lcuckily it hasn't happened.
...but yeah, the driver can just ditch me, right?
I guess it depends on how aggressive they "solicit" for tips. I don't blame them for asking as it is their livelihood. I don't think they should, because I look at it as an intimidating, but I may not give negative rating.
Thanks for this.
Do Boosts get added to the fare? or is that something Uber pays the drivers?
Is the fact that this was a pilot relevant to the story?
I have not seen them yet. With the Subway executive beating the drivers up and stuff, I thought I'd see more, but I take Uber regularly and I haven't really noticed. MAybe now I will.
What was this lady doing crossing a two lane highway in middle of a night? In traffic court, it matters where this happened. A driver wouldn't expect a pedestrian on such a big highway. Of course, it definitely comes to how much attempt was made to avoid the collision. Doesn't look like much of that happened..
Some of these fees entirely go to the drivers, and some entirely go to Uber. It's interesting to look at it in a single list.
So this puts even more importange on those star ratings. gosh, that'd be stressful for the drivers.
So much for being your own boss. So much for the freedom of being an independent contractor.
Seriously, won't this go against the thing about being an independent contractor? The employer cannot dictate the hours the work?
Ew.
I'd totally order one but I have too many trees in my yard.
Passengers cannot see their own star ratings. I have asked Lyft customer service on this.
So much or the driver friendly company. It was just complete baloney.
They had the gull to call drivers their "family." LOL.
