I am having difficulty identifying whether you are being sarcastic. When you say, you made $5.75 in 45 minutes, that's bad, right? That isn't $10/hour like you say.
And call me naive, but...people are ordering McDonald's using UberEats? I like McDonald's like any other, but I don't want it so bad that I would get one delivered to my house. If I have my options, ya know?
I thought the full $5 cancellation fee goes to the driver?
Maybe that's her intention! Get us at the edge of our seats, then bam!

I've never used one, and honestly, I don't know how these things work.
Some woman got deactivated because of this.
See? problem #1. Lyft cannot enforce people carrying it. Riders nor drivers.
Problem #2? The drivers have to defend themselves.
i just posted this;

Yes.
Crap. I feel so ignorant. That's *before* expenses? No wonder why the "independet contractor" conversation is always prominent in these driver discussions. If you were an employee, these expenses will be covered by the employer and THEN you get your hourly pay.
If we are going by independent contractor scale, drivers should be getting paid way more than these figures on the list.
Has anyone figured the hourly rate AFTER expenses? That's the figure that should be discussed.
This is sad. That's all they make? that's pretty low hourly rate.
Good point on the defusing thing. However, only the cool-headed drivers would keep calm and defuse it properly.
It's all a part of the customer handling skillset that most drivers don't have. (or at least the bad ones) This is customer service. Not just a driving job.
Like the tv show?
I can't believe no one has mentioned:
Eaze: Marijuana Delivered
Well...the "craziest story" doesn't have to be a bad story...
I once took an Uber from Hartford airport to Boston Logan. I was flying back from Raleigh, and there were literally no other flights available to get me back to Boston.
It was over 100 miles (1.5~2 hours), but the dude was super cool about it. Gave him a big tip (I think at least 50% of the fare) because he didn't think he could get a fare back. That was only my second or third Uber ride, so I did find it i helpful that the driver educated me on it.
nope.
Yes. It should. I mean, capping means less cars. Less cars mean less congestion.
Isn't this discussion much deeper than that? I think most people admit there is traffic problem and something had to be done.
Your face is your identity. It's not perfect but that's the reality. Your friends, colleagues, Uber apps identify for what you look like, not whom you say you are.
This isn't a transgender problem. If you change your appearance, how people identify you will change.
This doesn't have to be a permanent issue. Just work hard to accommodate how others view you, and you are good. No one said it's easy.
Harsh. 1+ week worth of work, poof. Not even his fault.
I love the guy on the left. Is that like a war reporter/camerman? So brave.
This guy raising the smoke canisters in the shape of a V. He looks like the type to have deep thoughtful conversation with.
