I assume this is bad?Shares of Lyft Inc. fell in Friday trading amid active short selling after rival Uber Technologies Inc. filed paperwork for an initial public offering.Lyft’s stock LYFT, -1.93% was down as much as 5.8% in morning trading before paring back some of its losses. We are a couple of really, really old people moving from a small town in SW France to Austin TX. We would prefer using one or two Uber comfort or luxury car drivers frequently as we will not buy a car. Virtually all of our traveling will be off-peak within the city limits with rides ranging from a mile to 30 miles each way. Is it possible to make an arrangement with one or two or three drivers that we could use on a repeated basis? Thanks

If drivers are really losing money with Uber then why do you keep driving for Uber?

I just don't get it, everyone always complains that they don't make any money with Uber but if you really were losing money then why would you keep driving....???

As a driver, have you kicked out a passenger? Ended a ride early mid-trip?

Can I ask my Uber driver to NOT record me with his webcam? If I do not want to be recorded, shouldn't I be able to request that?

Even calling into a customer service call (at a bank or whatever), we have the choice of asking not to be recorded. What about with rideshares like Uber and Lyft? I understand that the car is a private property, and drivers have the rights to record inside their cabin. However, do I have the right to not be recorded upon request?

Hello, I am reaching out for some help. Earlier this year I created my LLC to put on my Lyft Driver app. I created the LLC with my state, applied for an EIN with the IRS and was given the 147C form after application. I have entered in all of my new business information in the Lyft Payout Section on the Dashboard. I received an error that "they are unable to verify the tax data, check back or contact lyft support." I figured this would be the case. With the introduction of upfront pricing, Uber can charge customers anything they want. They will ask for any amount riders are willing to pay. I have heard cases where during the hours when the business users are out, the overall fare goes up. Trips to and from airports? You guessed it. It'll go up because people are willing to pay.
