   5 years ago in  I have a dashcam in my car, but I keep hearing I’m not allowed to record passengers unless they know about it, or agree to it. Is that true?

  Isn't this always about the "expectation of privacy."  The question is whether there is one inside an Uber or not.  Can you talk to that more?

  Thank you for this.  I have been dinged by Lyft (well, the drivers) on slamming doors too hard, but I hoenstly never meant to.  It just sometimes happen depending on how soft the doors are to shut.  

  Unlike you, there seem to be plenty of drivers who love to ding the users on slamming the door.  One driver told me that that's one of the most popular complains from drivers...

  Reminds me of the time I went to the island of St. Kitts, and as suggested by the hotel and guidebook, I hired a cabbie to take us around island.  It was great, and the cabbie just gave us an entire tour.

  Yeah, i am glad to see that this is a pretty standard practice among the drivers.  Most of mine do.  

  BTW your comment shed some light on why some drivers would rush over to grab the suitcase out of my hands.  LOL.

  I like this author  thorough and questions it.

  I have had drivers wear everything from t-shirts and shorts, pajamas, and even a moomoo costume. (and it wasn't even Halloween)   I love this about the industry, and I frankly don't care how they are dressed as long as they can drive and can get me to the destination safely.

  Ooohhhhh, so people ARE sensitive about this.   Me too!

  So I use Google Maps on my phone while the trip is taking place.  I do it just to make sure we are headed in the right direction and also to get an idea of when we'll get there.  I will admit, I do hide it from the driver as I don't want to offend him!

  Yep, this is one of those things guys don't think about. (well, except for creepsters)   I never enter my home location whethere it's a shared ride or not. I just get dropped off at the corner of my street and walk.

  The driver will not wait for you unless you ask.  I always end the trip at the store and then request another on the way home.  Sometimes, the nice drivers will wait for you in the parking lot so when you get out, you are matched up with them.  That's a win-win!
