Oh man, wow. I never really thought of this situation before but that sucks. Do you have video footage (dash cam) or audio you can provide to clear your name?
I am confused why someone would claim this if it wasn't true, what do they have to gain from it? I worry that this happened to someone and they reported it on the wrong ride. I might take this stance when replying to Uber - you are worried that whoever did do this is still out driving passengers around.

Would you mind sharing the amounts of the charges? Sometimes Uber does do a temporary authorization hold, especially if you are a new customer, so I could see you having 2 charges for each ride with one of the charges eventually disappearing but 3 is odd! I wonder if one is some toll or fee that for some reason wasn't tacked onto the total?

When you order a ride through the Lyft app, the app will update you with a notification when your driver is on their way. You will then be able to track your driver as they approach your location so you will know exactly when they have arrived!

Ugh, I'm sorry! Sadly, this type of situation is seeming more and more frequent with Uber and Lyft as the companies are still struggling to get enough drivers on board. I am glad your daughter eventually got to campus safely, but what an ordeal! Has she written to Lyft complaining? Not that it helps much but she might be able to get some ride credit back.
