DC taxi rule overhaul could cut some regulations in age of Uber, Lyft
Interesting, but it's about seven years too late...https://wtop.com/dc-transit/2020/01/d-c-taxi-rule-overhaul-could-cut-some-regulations-in-age-of-uber-lyft/ -

CNN investigation: 103 Uber drivers accused of sexual assault or abuse
Not good. Not good for Uber, and certainly not good for these poor victims. http://money.cnn.com/2018/04/30/technology/uber-driver-sexual-assault/index.html -

Deadly Uber crash due to medical emergency?
Does anyone know anything more about this? Heart attack or what? https://www.ajc.com/news/local/deadly-uber-crash-leaves-injured-passenger-mother-with-questions/dFTXohYdohCBkBFURzPMUK/
Is grab working on self driving cars at all? If so they will def be using it there...
Try tweeting at uber about it. Sometimes making it public like that lights a fire under them.
I hate to say it but if you don't trust him not to cheat then maybe rideshare driving isn't the main problem here... Might be time for some counseling.
You should be fine. It is true however that uber scheduled rides are not guaranteed, so just keep that in mind. If you are in the boonies it is possible you could get stuck if you get stood up.
Ok but these aren't the same systems AVs are using are they? These are just on today's non-self-driving cars. I assume the AV systems are better since they are using LiDAR and stuff? Or do these use that as well?
Yeah I don't know if I want to be wearing a hazmat suit while driving...
Carmel is reliable.
I don't think it's that big a deal. Don't love it but not gonna lose sleep over it
I mean I guess I get why he's frustrated but assault is never cool or smart.
What Serge said. Get the cheapest decent XL you can find.
I think they are in the "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" phase now.
I like where this is going... good luck and keep us posted on what you end up with.
I am kind of indifferent to it to be honest. It's more of a hassle I guess but whatever.
Whoa. This is a fear of mine. I can't believe it actually happened to you. It is legal in my state and some people reek of it. Lyft and Uber are going to have to wise up about this or they will not have any drivers left before too long
That is just laughable.
People who don't put on their seat belt. How do you guys handle this? I don't want to be liable if there is a crash but it gets really tiresome asking people to put them on and a lot of times people still don't so I just go and hope for the best.
Why do they have to say uber like its a problem with uber drivers. This woman was gonna do something like this with uber or not. Uber has nothing to do with it.
News flash: it's not just ubers and lyfts. People drive narcotics around in their own cars too. Better than they take an uber than try to drive themselves.
This always happens after an IPO. Lyft shares will be fine. The bigger problem for Lyft is the brain drain that will come with it as early employees cash out and leave the company. And who can blame them?
Seems obvious. Rideshares are too cheap. Public transport is forced to raise prices which only makes the problem worse.
