Can a Uber driver start the trip without the passenger in the car? ...and take an imaginary passenger for a ride to make money?
Wow, so San Fran is cracking down on this? I guess they are trying to avoid the mistake they made with Uber when they chose to do nothing.
Just take a shuttle. It's free.
If you want to restore faith in Uber drivers, think this.
Maybe the driver's phone battery died and he couldn't complete the trip.
It's Renminbi.
maybe taxi drivers. LOL.
I sure hope it's not 34K across all 56 employees.
source?
Do they even have a taxi.
UberELEVATE
wat?
That's a good summary
Yeah, but it always leads to great conversations though. It always starts with the good things, and slowly the bad things come up.
Yeah, as a fellow Uber passenger, I am a bit embarassed with this question. I've been in the customer business, and I know customers are the evil assholes. Not the providers. That is definitely no exception with Uber and Lyft.
So, the big question remains... Is it a derogatory? Is it simply Food Uber? or is it like "F**** Up Food Uber"?
I am just trying to use it correctly. LOL.
Oh, gosh.
I've never driven an Uber but there's a reason we need mechanism to stop drivers from cherry picking, right? It's even illegal for taxi drivers.
Here's an example, in Boston, drivers hate picking up passenger who are trying to go to East Boston across the harbor. It has traffic, long tunnel or bridge, and it is difficult to pick up another coming back. Not to mention tolls on the way back. They despise it to the point they ask the passenger straight out. Then passengers also know the game so they lie.
If Uber drivers knew in advance you are going to East Boston, I have a feeling the residents there would have a difficulty in finding a ride. That didn't seem fair
That is messed up. So people are canceling in middle of a tunnel because even if they get caught, they get to through the tunnel?
At the end of the day, the bill gets footed by Uber, but what a pain for the drivers. What a shame that they need to watch their backs al the time and stare at their earnings report just to be compensated fairly.
Psychologically, it may help to increase the tip if it says, "No tip", or have that $0 option. Maybe? Rather than giving them a way out with a $1?
MEDALLION IS BACK!!!
Going to a physical store? That's so 2010s. Then you have to carry all that stuff home?! I mean, why?!
