  • I was being sarcastic. As I stated in the post all my request were low rated riders yesterday hence my made up "Trashy Tuesday" promo. I was just sharing my frustration in hopefully a fun way. I try not to be negative and mean. I don't mean the riders themselves are trashy but their ratings. What I have learned over the past 12 mths is many low rated passengers are rated by drivers unfairly. As much as drivers hate when they get a low rating for stupid issues drivers do the same to riders. However there are times riders and drivers alike deserve their low rating. Slamming a drivers accidentally or not tipping (unless you go above & beyond) shouldnt be a reason to 1, 2, 3 star a passenger. I have to say that 98% low rated riders I have picked up have been no issue for me and quite a few have tipped 20% or more. So it leaves me to believe drivers are being really picky, impatient, or unfair. Sucks for the rider as well as drivers because I am declining rides at times based on ratings. I started rejecting rides with ratings under a 4.8. I've since lowered it to a 4.5 but only in certain areas (have picked up a few at 4.47). On a weekend night after 10pm depending on the area I will not pick up below a 4.8.

Sorry for the confusion. I know Uber has come out with some ridiculous things so I now understand where this post may have made people think Uber was yet again being ridiculous:) Hope at least it made you smile:)

  • I posted this article on a Rideshare FB group I follow. This is what this idiot had to say:

  • Agreed. The crap I see out on the road is so rediculous. Mostly women and younger people on their damn phones leaning against steering wheell on major highway (speed limit is 65mph) both hands textimg. Most mem dont do it because we all know they cant multi task. Lol JK! Men are usually talking on phone and they are just as bad. I've actually ended my night early on 2 occasions because of the horrific car accidents I saw 3,4,& 5 per night (less than 8hrs). A car under a tractor trailer with the whole tol of the car gone. You know those peoples heads were decapitated also. For what? What is so damn important it cant wait?  You want to smash your car, injure yourself, or kill yourself go for it but dont take other people with you. Drinking & driving is bad enough (not making it out to be an excuse) but your thought process is off.  You damn well know that texting is wrong and your head is clear wth would you chance it?

I picture you in a big city. A Teddy Bear at heart but not taking shit from anyone. Lol I thought you would appreciate this:

  • Some idiots had the balls to post under article "what was a 71 yr old man doung in that neighborhood". Not why did some POS shoot him? Like it was his own faukt for going in there. POS should rot in jail.

  • I know. Its simple a carpool. You are still getting in strangers car. Uber and Lyft dont do the best checkung but better than just picking some random person. You may as well hitchhike.

  • Make an example of a few. Show the people you are serious. It's worse than drunk driving. Not condoning drunk driving at all. Under the influence just make you stupid and judgement clouded. Texting and driving you know wth you are doing.

  • NYC is is a damn mess. Why anyone would want to live in that city is beyond me. The people, the drives, the crowds, the dirty looking city, the cost,  and the politicians AOC especially how does any city vote for someone like her? WTH kind of people live there? Before anyone gets bent out of shape I dont mean every last person is a horribke person, bad driver, etc... just a lot.

  • Your visualization is quite accurate. Uber pool Lyft shared definately a big cess pool.

Just a cheap gap insurance. No private plates. I run my private rides still in Uber or Lyft app. Just get a nice tip and guarenteed to be called for the long rides. I dont mess with the cash rides. I may have a friend or 2 and their family I do favors for but prefer sticking with apps to stay out of trouble:)

  • I will go to a 4.50 if I am in a certain area that I usually drive and its a 45+. I know exactly why they have low ratings most if the time and it has to do with tipping. It sucks because I'll take them wether they tip or not. Some business men get a little controlling with directions but that dont bother me. If these other drivers  (especially female drivers) knew how to handle these business men they would get tipped. I am not talking about low cut shirts, cleavage, short shorts, or certain favors so get your mind outta the gutter. Lol 😀 I am too old for these young business men. They dont want to see me in short shorts or low cut shirt. Lol I ask what they do and show an interest in their business, ask questions, show interest, they live ti brag & be complimented. Compliment them on how smart they are, their ideas are great, blah blah blah and 85%/90% tip but yet they all have low ratings. Probably because men drive them and the rider dont tip so they are rated low.  The younger women drivers want no part of talking business and the older ones just dont know the little tricks. My driver friend is a male, drives the same area, same type of people. I get tipped more times than he does by these business types but he is very nice, accomodating, great driver. Its all in how you handle these dudes when body gets too old to use it you need to find other ways lol. Nah. just joking most are smart and I love learning new things so most times they are interesting.

Yes definitely. I posted something on a you tuber's  fb page for rideshare drivers. Some of the drivers are tired of other drivers being rude. Some of them are worse than U peeps (no need to mention them here by real name) lol

Thank you I've been wanting to fix a thread. I hate when I have mistakes  it drives me crazy. Some I catch months later but I still fix it.

  • Thanks Frank greatly appreciated. I didnt think you drove rideshare and cant imagine you doing delivety:) Definately wouldnt think you would eat their food. Lol What city are you based out of if you dont mind me asking?

  • I have ordered from Grub Hub and Uber Eats. Never again. All I got was slightly warm overpriced food. At leadt I hope thats all:) I would rather get off my a$$ and go get it myself. I also only order from places that still have their own delivery people.

  • You always make me smile or laugh Bigfrank.

  • I dont usually care although I dont get many that do. I used to get drunks who wanted to go through Drive Thru and found some lettuce and poppy seeds on the seat. Grabbed a wipe not the end of the world. One night a drunk guy got in and I didnt see him with any food. He smuggled a slice of pizza in the car:) Thankfully I got out to check something in the back seat that another passenger left in here. There on my seat was a half eaten slice if pizza. What drives me crazy is when riders leave their empty coffee cup, water bottle, or gum/candy wrappers in my pockets. Hand me the crap I'll get rid of it if you are too lazy but dont stuff it in my pockets.

It's like the million $ I wish for. I know I am not getting it but one can wish.😊 I would drive anywhere, do drive everywhere but just hate NYC:) I still drive there unlike the drivers who show up find out where the rider is going and say they cant drive there. Apparently many NJ drivers do this if they find out its NYC, NY airports, or Philadelphia airport. Just hate those trips and driving in the traffic and jam packed city. Between taxi cabs, bicycle delivery people, and pedestrians (that pay no mind to anything) it's one of my most dreaded places to drive:) Thankfully doesnt happen often. The way Uber sends the exact amt of min versus 45+ like Lyft I can usually tell so I dont accept. Lyft I can tell as I get close to pick up. I dont like to cancel and have only did it once on a NY trip to JFK. It had just started pouring really bad out and rush hour was starting. I was coming up on 8hrs of driving. It wouldve been a very long trip home with traffic on way back. Rider had not come out after 3 min so I cancelled. I didnt care about cancel fee was just happy to get out of going there. Rider should've been ready anyway:)

If you are looking for what rideshare is available and an estimate on how much they are charging go to the free fare estimator here on ride guru. You can also click "offers" and may be able to find a code to use for cheaper first ride.
