A 45 miles will take 45~60 minutes to drive. Such a trip should be about $55 to 70 in most areas. This is without considering for surge pricing which can raise the fare during busy periods.

Have a great time on your trip!
RideGuru is an aggregator or a search engine of rideshares. If you enter your route on our home page, you should be able to launch the chosen rideshare app to request a ride. Good luck!
Hi, Pat,
Which city are you from (or travelling in)? RideGuru should be displaying local taxi phone numbers that you can choose from and call directly from your smartphone.
Great points! This article was written by IDriveWithUber (Now Alvia).
Here's a good article from TheRideShareGuy on how much a driver could be making in 2017.
http://therideshareguy.com/how-much-money-can-an-uber-and-lyft-driver-make-in-2017/
I haven't heard of anything like that yet. Some services are starting to offer checkboxes for needing carseats and such, but I haven't heard one for pets. Anyone?
However, there is an Uber for dogs. LOL.
Right, there's no way to cancel or adjust your scheduled Uber or Lyft while you are in the air.
I will also admit that when I am at the airport, it is a bit awkward to request a Uber or Lyft as the rules are different in every airport. Furthermore, they usualy suggest that we wait to request a cal until we get to the curb. The problem with this is that you end up waiting on the curb for 10~15 minutes as the cars make it from waiting areas which is usually off site away from the airport. On a nice day, it may be ok, but on a cold blistering winter day?
Welcome to RideGuru, Anil!! Looking forward to working with you!
You must be referring to this:
http://money.cnn.com/2014/08/11/technology/uber-fake-ride-requests-lyft/
"Uber employees have ordered and canceled more than 5,000 rides from rival Lyft since last October, according to new data provided by Lyft. The data was obtained at CNNMoney's request when reporting another story on the companies' competition."
Most of these companies listed hire women and the riders are supposed to be women.
Hey, there was a specific quetsion for you here:
Three people and luggage may fit in a regular 4-person vehicle. The SUV would be more comfortable for sure.

To give it a bit more context, Uber is available in over 80 countries and 600 cities worldwide. Of course, it's a bit difficult to define what a "city" is, but it's often considered as a metropolitan area.
Hi, Megan,
I have updated my original Guru answer to include a bit on Lyft. My apologies for not being thorough in my initial response!

Useful grid. The renting of a car costs $12/hour.
Oh, the importance of preparation
Hilarious comparison.
Of course, behind the humor is a serious question on how much an Uber driver really makes. Uber drivers are slightly at a disadvantage because their jobs are more flexible, and they do get some "free time" they can utilize while they want for their fares.
Then of course you see a news like this - Denver Airport reduces # of taxis allowed:

Is it me or the regulations starting to catch up a bit on Uber these days? Finally...?
